I had to wake up ridiculously early this morning for a test (ok, it was 6:45 or so, but that's ridiculous to me). The radio went off to the tune of them having a Madonna contest, with her new CD and a pair of tickets to the CD release party here in Ottawa up for grabs. You had to give them the next line to this:

I'm crazy for you
Touch me once and you'll know it's true
I never wanted anyone like this

People were calling in with all kinds of wrong answers, so being the uber-Madge fan that I am, I quickly googled the lyrics and called in. The next thing I knew I was explaining on air to the nice radio people why I wouldn't, under any circumstances, subject their innocent listeners to my singing at any time of day, let alone mere seconds after I woke up. I did have the right lyrics though, so I'm now the proud owner of Confessions on a Dance Floor and will be attending the party tomorrow night. Probably won't be as fun as the Woody's one [info]bigboobedcanuck attended the other night, but I'll take what Ottawa can offer!

No, it was actually Hot 89.9. They have so many contest, I don't know how they do it. As excited as I was about the Madonna thing, it was slightly lessened when within the hour they gave away a trip to Margarita Island in Venezuela. Not that I'm complaining, I'm just saying that would have been nice too!

How long are you in China for, anyways?

Ah yes, Hot. I had a mental block against them, bad experiences at work when the radio station was first made so I often forget about it. And then I left for school and all of the radio stations got screwed up, XFM became country, Kool became Bob and Kiss showed up... And the DJs seemed to be all over the place...

Anyways, I agree the trip would have been way cooler :P

And at the moment my contract in China expires in August, but we're thinking of switching jobs and coming back Juneish.....

Come on C!! What the hell?? You didn't just KNOW those lyrics?? ;) HAHAHA! Of course I read them and knew instantly what the next line was.

Glad you got the new disc. What do you think? Pretty hot shit, huh? I LOVE it, but I'm sure this doesn't come as a surprise to you. :P Best song is Jump, I think.

LOL You know, as soon as they asked the question my first thought was "where's Kevin when you need him?" I knew you'd have been all over that!

So far I really like the album. It's not the type of thing I usually listen to, but Hung Up grew on me pretty quick and I think the rest of it will as well. For now, Hung Up's still my fave, but that's mostly because I've only heard the others once or twice. And also I may have a slight obsession with the Hung Up choreography.

Once or twice will turn into many, many times! Although since it's not your usual kinda thing, maybe not. I got it downloaded about 3 or 4 weeks ago and it's been playing on Reichen ever since. I think the whole album has played about 30 times and since I had Hung Up sooner, it's played about 150 times.

If it makes you feel better, I was once listening to the radio and you had to guess the DJs favourite fruit, and all she said was that it was yellow, and for 5 minutes people were calling in with "banana!" she even told one guy it;s sour and he said Banana! So double checking answers is a very good thing :P
